BANKS, OREGON - (February 26, 2010) - NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Greg Biffle announced today that he has acquired partial ownership of Sunset Speedway in Banks, Oregon. Biffle also announced the formation of the "DAA Spec Motor Series presented by Sherwin-Williams," a new late model series with tittle sponsorship from DAA Northwest and Sherwin-Williams.

Biffle, a northwest native recalls the importance of grassroots racing and see's his involvement in Sunset Speedway and the DAA Spec Motor Series as an opportunity to help up-and-coming racers.

"I remember starting out and how tough it was," stated Biffle. "I would work on other people's race cars during the day and then mine all night. I think it's important having a racetrack and series that operates week-in and week-out, giving every driver a place to showcase all their hard work."

Sunset Speedway, a third of a mile clay dirt track located just outside Portland, Oregon will host 35 events in 2010. Saturday nights between April and September see more than 100 cars compete for championship points in six divisions. With partner Jerry Schram, the track has already made significant improvements to both the facility and point's programs.

"I grew up racing on small tracks in the Northwest and I'm excited about partnering with Jerry to provide a safe and exciting place for guys to race," explained Biffle. "We've made some great improvements for the racers and the fans. We've strengthened the point's fund and have added new bleachers and other fan friendly amenities. We're hoping to make Sunset Speedway a weekly destination for both racers and families."

The DAA Spec Motor Series presented by Sherwin-Williams will see late model drivers from around the Northwest compete in 22 events on six tracks for a piece of the $25,000 series point's fund.

DAA Northwest, a wholesale auto auction located in Spokane, Washington, has announced it's commitment to sponsor the DAA Northwest Spec Motor Series in conjunction with Sherwin-Williams. BIFFLE SECOND IN DESERT DEBUT

Greg Biffle, driver of the No. 16 3M Ford Fusion - in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series made his off-road racing debut last weekend in the Henderson Fabtech Desert Classic, which was sanctioned by the Best in the Desert Racing Association. Biffle, along with teammates Rob MacCachren and Steve Olliges, finished second in their class behind the wheel of the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor R.

Greg Biffle - No. 16 3M Ford Fusion - HOW DID THINGS GO? "It went really well. I was nervous about my first time in there. The optimum situation would have been for me to ride with Rob for a lap since Rob is such a seasoned professional at that type of racing, and then have me drive the second lap. It didn't work out that way because we had a contest winner and some other things going on, so I ended up driving the first lap. I thought I did pretty well. I didn't get off the course and we made pretty good time. I jumped out Rob ran the second and third laps, but he got a flat after hitting a rock and punctured a tire on lap two. Steve got in for the final lap and we ended up second, which I thought was great. It was so much fun. I had such a great time. We literally had zero visibility two or three times for a couple of minutes or more. It wasn't just a few seconds, it was a couple of minutes, so that was really tough. Other than that it was really fun. I probably went too slow the first quarter of the lap just because I was trying to find that line. The Raptor's capability is so much and I probably underestimated that a little bit during the first part of the lap, but then I started to push the envelope and did pretty well."
